SEPARATING MIXTURES A mixture is a combination of two or more substances. There are two types of mixtures: a) Heterogeneous mixtures : we see the various substances because they are not combined evenly. Example: fruit salad. b) Homogeneous mixtures : we can´t see the different substances because they are more closely combined. Example: orange juice.
